Yukon Amazing!

Our Commercial Construction Director, Tom Rose, thrives on challenges. After conquering the world’s toughest row, The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, he set his sights on the world’s longest paddle race – Yukon 1000 Race. This gruelling race spans 1,000 miles from Canada in to the Arctic Circle, finishing in Alaska.

Yukon 1000 participants must possess the physical and mental strength to paddle 18 hours a day just to complete the race. Completely self-sufficient, teams sleep wherever they stop, and in extreme cases, must survive in true wilderness conditions.

We are thrilled to announce that Tom and his teammate Ben recently completed the race, and thankfully, the bear spray wasn’t needed!

They finished in 11th place out of 23 teams, which is an incredible achievement.
