Management Accountant

An opportunity for a full time management accountant has opened in our thriving finance team. The role will involve the preparation of management accounts across the group, independently managing a weekly payroll and generally assisting the financial controller and finance director. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, management and reporting skills and be able to manage time effectively to meet monthly closing deadlines. The role comes with scope for further development and job role opportunities.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assistance with preparation of monthly management accounts across the group;
• Assistance with preparation of year end accounts and tax computations;
• Full management and processing of a weekly payroll for c100 staff;
• ADHOC reporting tasks including ownership of the fixed asset registers/Hire Purchase schedules across the group;
• General accounting tasks including reconciling bank accounts and recording transactions;
• Providing general assistance to the Finance Director and Financial Controller in the overall management of the groups finances and ADHOC tasks.

Key Skills:

• Fully or part qualified ACA/ACCA;
• Excellent communication skills to interact with various areas of the business;
• Self-motivated and resilient with excellent organisational skills;
• Hardworking, flexible, and reliable with good attention to detail;
• Adaptable and works well under pressure;
• Good interpersonal skills;
• Experience using Microsoft packages (including outlook, excel and word);
• Experience using accounting software (Evolution M/Mx) is preferable but not essential;
• Experience in an accounts team is preferable but not essential.
• Knowledge of the construction industry is preferable but not essential.
