In the spring of 2013 we will be making an Outline Planning Application in respect of a predominantly residential development on land at Dale Hall, Lawford; the proposal will include 150 houses together with:

  • Increased school playing field
  • Equipped play area
  • Multi Use Astro Games Pitch
  • School Bus Park
  • Public Open Space
  • ‘Farmyard’ style small offices for employment
  • Boundary Landscaping
  • ‘Safe’ walking / Cycle route to railway station
  • Rented Housing for Local People

The application will be followed by an application for a further 100 houses east of Bromley Road together with:

  • New primary School entrance off Bromley Road with car parking
  • Play area and ‘green’ public open space
  • Increased area for the Venture Centre as camping field
  • New public multi purpose meeting building
  • Structural Landscaping
  • Footpath Links

Both schemes are on land identified by Tendring District Council as their preferred location for development in the area.

A pre-design public consultation was held in the main hall of the Venture Centre on the 8th of December between 11.00am and 4.00pm. The purpose was to gain local opinion on a range of key issues, complete a questionnaire and make any alternative suggestions for consideration for inclusion in the planning application. Representatives from Rose Builders and Lawford Parish Council were on hand to answer any questions. If you were unable to attend, you can download the questionnaire form below.  For additional information please contact Ella Hutchings at
