Honeycroft – New Sheltered Housing Scheme in Lawford for Tendring District Council
We are pleased to announce our appointment by Tendring District Council to secure planning permission and deliver the design and construction of 13 single-storey senior living homes. The project includes the creation of a small community building, along with all the requisite landscaping and parking infrastructure for the site.
The upcoming properties are designed to the latest building regulations and to embrace the principles of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and “lifetime homes” catering for accessible living in later years and allowing residents to remain in their community as their physical needs allow. The development incorporates numerous carbon reduction and energy-saving measures to align with future energy efficiency standards. These will be ‘A’ rated energy performance homes to ultimately reducing householder costs and help to address fuel poverty.
Councillor Peter Kotz, TDC Cabinet Member for Assets, said: “I am pleased with the appointment of Rose, who have a brilliant track record and are a well-established local firm; this development is an innovative scheme which will help provide homes for people within our District on a brownfield site.”
