GCA’s New Headquarters, Saffron Walden
We are proud to serve as the lead contractor for GCA’s new state-of-the-art headquarters in Saffron Walden, Essex. Collaborating with industry leaders SWORDER BELCHER HOLT LIMITED, Campus Park and Alan Wood & Partners, this project represents a significant milestone for Graphicshow Cable Accessories (GCA) Ltd as they prepare for future growth.
Founded in Uttlesford in 1998 and operating on Shire Hill since 2005, GCA has outgrown its current facilities, which are spread across multiple locations and no longer meet the demands of their expanding business. The new headquarters will centralise operations, improve productivity, and create an energy-efficient, sustainable space designed for growth while retaining their local workforce.
The 1,540 sq.m facility will feature a modern industrial design, blending functionality with sustainability. The ground floor will include assembly and storage areas, along with a reception lobby, while the mezzanine will house offices, meeting rooms, R&D labs, testing facilities, and staff amenities. The design incorporates natural light through ample glazing and roof lights to support employee well-being, while the thermally efficient construction reflects GCA’s commitment to sustainability.

The new building, designed with a high-specification steel frame and energy-efficient materials, is intended to serve as a flagship facility, showcasing GCA’s innovative spirit. With its thoughtful design, strategic layout, and visual appeal, the project promises to make a positive impact on the local area while attracting new talent to the business.
GCA specialises in developing wireless telecoms components for mobile communications networks, providing product design, R&D, testing, and assembly to serve both UK and international clients. Their new headquarters marks a bold step forward, supporting their mission to innovate and lead in their field.
