Apprentice of the Year!

John Cook, Apprentice Groundworker, received this year’s Tendring Apprentice of the Year Award in recognition of significant contribution, work ethic and adaptability.

John joined Rose Builders in 2020 as a groundwork’s labourer and asked to be considered for an apprenticeship in 2021 and was signed up onto a Groundworks Apprenticeship at CITB National Construction College in Bircham Newton.  After passing a strict initial assessment, he has fully engaged himself in all aspects of the course. Being a ‘mature student’ John has dealt with being in a classroom with less mature characters extremely well.

John is an integral part of the Groundworks Team and is always keen to undertake further training.  We are really proud of Johns commitment to learning, attendance, developing skills and the support he has given other apprentices.

John wanted to change his life and life goals and has met this challenge head on and is a shining example of what can be achieved!  We are excited for his future with company.
