At the Heart of the Community

With donations from Lawford Parish Council, Rotary Club Manningtree Stour Valley and ourselves a new defibrillator is now available at our former development, Summers Park.

The defibrillator is located within Dairy Barn Mews, outside of Fitness@Summers Park, so those that over do it in the gym need not worry !! A massive thank you to gym owner, Dean Smith.

30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen each year in the UK, and 9 out of 10 are fatal. Investing in a defibrillator could be the difference between life and death and will help keep hearts beating for longer.

Less than 1 in 10 people in the UK survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Two big factors that play a part in this are: there aren’t enough people prepared to perform CPR when someone has a cardiac arrest there aren’t enough defibrillators. Having a public access defibrillator (PAD) available in an emergency can be life saving, especially in areas where ambulance response times may be longer.
