Former Factory Turned into 66 Houses

Former Factory Turned into 66 Houses

CHP held a launch for their new affordable housing development in Dovercourt, Harwich to showcase the 66 new-build project. It also marked their 10,000th home in Essex.

The site had been derelict for 10 years and had been targeted numerous times by vandals, the project involved the demolition of the existing former factory which included not only the buildings but a huge amount of buried asbestos cement. Our environmental site clear-up team were fully occupied in cleaning up the site and preparing the way for this much needed housing project.

The site has now been transformed into a mix of houses and apartments for affordable rent. We were thrilled to work with CHP and the architects, Ingleton Wood to develop this brown field site into a thriving new development that is going deliver affordable homes to the community.
